Object: discourse words of Turkish origin. Aim: complex analysis of the discourse words in modern Bulgarian mass-media texts. Research methods used: descriptive, context analysis, communicative-functional analysis. Scientific novelty of the work lies in the first attempt to make a complex analysis of discourse words of Turkish origin in modern Bulgarian mass-media texts based on description of their pragmatic, communicative, structural and connective characteristics.Practical significance of the work: possibility of dictionary compiling, use in lexicology, stylistics and the Bulgarian language history courses, culture-oriented linguistics, journalism.
