Skyba I. Regional and Interregional in the Ukrainian lexicography of the end 19 – the beginning of the 20 th centuries

Object: is “Malorusko-German dictionary” by Y. Zhelekhivsky, S. Nedilsky and “Dictionary of Ukrainian language” edited by B. Grinchenko; aim: is to reveal the trends of the usage of the dictionary of Y. Zhelekhivsky, S. Nedilsky by B. Grinchenko’s dictionary and to identify ideographic and dialect proportion among common and distinctive elements; methods: are analysis and synthesis, comparative method, descriptive method, areological method and statistical method; novelty: for the first time comparative analysis of vocabulary of “Malorusko-German dictionary” by E. Zhelekhivsky, S. Nedilsky and “Dictionary of Ukrainian language” edited by B. Grinchenko was carried out in the context of regional and interregional during the formation of principles of Ukrainian literary language; results: the mechanism of formation of lexicons and models of their research were found out. The dictionary of differences of these two dictionaries was drawn up, its materials can be used for specification and explanation of the modern principles of Ukrainian literary language; field: philology.
