Essay

The thesis describes the formation of civil law, its development in Ukraine (when it was part of the Great Lithuanian Principality and Rych of Pospolite), and its practical implementation according to the Lithuanian Statutes. Significant attention was paid to the analysis of civil and legal institutions described in the Statutes, namely property law, law of obligation, family law, law of succession. Civil lawsuits were especially analyzed, using specialized and monographic literature. A conclusion was reached, namely that civil law in Ukraine according to Lithuanian Statutes had reached a very high and developed level.
