Lyzogub G. Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in patients with atherosclerosis: particular features of the clinical picture, diagnostics and treatment.

The dissertation is devoted to the problems of the peptic ulcer in presence of concomitant atherosclerosis. 134 patients with ulcer (PU) of stomach or duodenum and atherosclerosis/ischemic heart disease (IHD) are surveyed. It was revealed that presence of atherosclerosis leads to the worsening of the contractile function of the heart, increasing number and intensifying quality of the cardiac arrhythmias, and developing of myocardial ischemia episodes in patients with peptic ulcer. Duodenal ulcers pervert postprandial reactions of the cardiovascular system and stomach ulcers favor developing of the cardiac arrhythmias. Presence of infection Helicobacter pylori (Нр) associates with augmentation of frequency of arrhythmias and significantly decreasing of the dilatation of humeral artery depending on function of an endothelium. Оmeprazol promotes decreasing of frequency of arrhythmias and restoration of character of changes in hemodynamics after alimentary load in patients with PU and an IHD. Application of famotidine has more significant antiischemic effect, but does not influence on character of postprandial hemodynamic reactions and can increase arrhythmias.
