Lugova H. Substantiation of the principles of sanitary-epidemiological monitoring of intestinal infections among military contingents,located in the river basins (illustrated on the Dneepro river basin)

Manifestations of intestinal infection epidemic process in the military units, deployed in the large river basins (illustrated on the Dneepro river basin) were studied in order to develop and substantiate the principles of sanitary-epidemiological monitoring of these infections among military contingents. Epidemiological, microbiological and statistical methods were used. Manifestations of intestinal infection epidemic process in the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the modern situation were studied, influence of ecologo-hygienic peculiarities of water on activation of intestinal infection epidemic process in the troops was defined, principles of sanitary-epidemiological monitoring were developed based on the operational units of troops dislocation formation, epidemiological surveillance scheme was optimized. Results of dissertation were implemented into working programs of sanitary-epidemiological and educational establishments of Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
