The thesis focuses on the study of active processes in the development Lexical structure of Ukrainian from 1980s to the present on the material of the new Explanatory Dictionary of Ukrainian Language in 20 volumes. The external and internal factors that cause the dynamics of the lexical system of language have been dealt with in the dissertation. The thesis deals with the analysis of the basic innovations that occur in the Dictionary of Ukrainian Language (derivational and semantic neologisms).
