Essay

The conditions for appearing and controlling the stochastic resonannce (SR) mode in superconducting thin films and quantum interferometers (SQUIDs) are studied. New effect of stochastic-parametric resonance (SPR) is found providing maximum gain of a weak informational signal in SQUIDs at arbitrary low temperature. A SR- and SPR-based principle is suggested of building SQUID antennae to enhance the sensitivity to the weak signal by 30 times as compared to exisiting SQUID receivers. A number of devices is proposed and analysed which realise this principle, including an amplifier to measure quantum states of Josephson flux qubits.
