Essay

In the thesis, on the basis of general clinical, neurological, neuroimagine, biochemical, psychological examination of patients peculiarities of clinical course of migraine attack in an interictal period are determined taking into account both form and frequency of the attacks and also duration of the disease. Changes in the state of the brain matter, the ventricular system, subarachnoidal spaces were determined in dependence of the form of migraine, duration of disease and frequency of attacks. In this work for the first time it was demonstrated correlative interrelation between psychological factors (such as subjective evaluation of pain feelings) and parameters of health, emotional status and quality of the social functioning in patients with migraine, in dependence of gender, migraine forms, frequency and duration of disease, peculiarities of personality. A comparative complex examination of 113 patients with migraine was carried out, and clinical peculiarities of the disease, structurally-functional conditions of the brain were investigated. A possibility to use a complex of psychological methods for assessment of a state of an integrative brain activity was defined in patients with migraine. It allows to develop an individual approach to usage of pharmaceutical measures to prevent and to cure a headache attack. Peculiarities of clinical course of migraine were studied in detail and structural changes of the brain matter were demonstrated. Effectiveness of fluoxetine was studied as preventive treatment of migraine attacks.
