Essay

The dissertation deals with research of the problem of self-identity and its role in the life activity of human being. Disclosure of sources of formation of the concept of identity and its main stages as trends in the conceptualization of self-identity in classical and non classical philosophy. The structure of self-identity is considered. Also shown the importence of self-identity in the formation of personality. The problems of self, memory and recognition are analyzed in their connection with the problems of self-identity.
