Essay

The object of the investigation: pathogenic mechanisms of action of nitrates and waste oils on the body. The aim of the investigation: finding out the role of changes free radical oxidation and connective tissues disorganization in the mechanisms of digestive organs (periodontium, stomach, small intestine) toxic damage in white rats under the exposure to mineral-based crankcase oil and chronic sodium nitrate intoxication. Methods of research: experimental, biochemical and morphological methods of investigation. The research shows the introduction of mineral-based crankcase oil under chronic sodium nitrate intoxication stimulates the superoxide anion-radical production by leukocyte NADPH-oxidase in periodontal tissues, gastric mucosa, small intestine mucosa, as compared with the isolated sodium nitrate action, and has an ambiguous effect on the anti-oxidative enzymes. The degree of implementation: the results of the research are implemented in the educational process. Spheres of usage: medicine, pathophysiology, toxicology.
