Pogozhykh D. Influence of low temperature storage on properties and biological activity of placenta extracts

Object of investigation - properties of human placenta extracts and influence of extracts stored at low temperatures and extracts from stored at low temperatires tissues on structure-functional properties of human donor blood erythrocytes. Methods of analysis - cryobiological, biophysical, biochemical, morphologicl. It was found that properties of extracts depend on initial material and differ by protein concentration and distribution of proteins by molecular weight, which mostly refers to the relative content of high molecular proteins. It was shown that freezing and storing of placenta extracts and tissues leads to modification of distribution of proteins by molecular weight in extracts, and also to changes of biological activity of extracts in relation to human donor blood erythrocytes. It was ascertained that freezing allows lowering of hemolytic activity in cases when initial extracts have possessed such an activity.
