Object: the semantics of Ukrainian riddles related to a human concept. Objective: comprehensive semantic analysis of the Ukrainian riddles about the human. Methods: general scientific analytical and descriptive, methods of component analysis, frame analysis, the method of quantitative calculations. Scientific novelty: determined that for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics a comprehensive semantic analysis of the human concept manifestations in Ukrainian riddles is conducted. The practical value: the use of courses in lexicology of Ukrainian language, cognitive linguistics, ethnolinguistics.
