Dyachenko Y. The restructuring of the financial sector of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the research of theoretical, methodological, practical aspects of the essence, role, allocation, structure of financial sector. The theoretical approaches about such philosophical definitions as "system", "sector", "subsector", "segment", "element" were generalized and systemized. The financial sector was analyzed as a substructure of financial system, approaches about it's restructuring were elaborated. The formulas of measurement of economic sector's capacity and appeal were offered, basing on the amount of financial operations, that were made by institutional subjects, but not on their assets. There was elaborated the proposition about the new view of the system of national accounts, that would have the more complete and detailed information about Ukraine's economic sectors and the Ukrainian resident's and nonresident's activity. The institutional foundations of the Ukrainian financial sector formation were viewed, and also the formation of bank and nonbank financial subsectors, the problems of their development, approaches to the restructuring. Also the trends of foreign financial sectors development was overviewed, described the achievements and mistakes of foreign countries' national financial policy and possibilities of adaptation of their experience to Ukrainian realities.
