The thesis is devoted to studying the experience of designing and manufacturing fixtures on the leading enterprises in Italy and Germany, as well as prospects for its use in the practice of modern Ukrainian designers. Was identified the historical reasons for the differences in design of the fixtures in these countries. This is underscored that the Italian design – emotional, German design – functional. Foreign experience in Ukraine is actively used and encourages the Ukrainian designers at the design of lighting systems.
