Essay

A variety of micro- and macroeconomic theories are analysed to identify a position of the evolutionary approach in economics. The evolutionary approach has been found to be widespread primarily in the theory of firm, models of macro- and mesoeconomic dynamics elaborated within the frameworks of institutionalism and evolutionary economics. The evolutionary method is rarely used in the theory of individual choice.
