In research urgent problems of teaching geometry in terms of profile differentiation of studies in high school were investigated. It was presented scientifically based methodical system of teaching geometry, which is turned to implementation of succession in the system of continuous education "technical lyceum - higher technical educational institutions". There were established psychological and educational backgrounds for providing with succession in process of teaching geometry, was developed the model of succession in teaching geometry in the system of continuous education is technical lyceum - Technical University. The necessity of forming in high school graduates of technical profile self-education, professionally-oriented heuristic and research activities was grounded. There were formulated methodological requirements for ensuring succession in teaching geometry and presented methodical guidelines concerning to studying individual substantive lines in stereometry course; illustrated the ways of ensuring succession in teaching geometry using information and communication technologies.
