Essay

The dissertation work contains the research materials on spreading, seasonal and age, changes as well as on diagnosing and treating Otodectosis in dogs and cats. Proved was the dependence of metabolic and structural disorders in the organism upon the course of the disease determined by the intensity of invasion. Studies were carried out on morphological changes in ear tissues of Otodectosis invaded dogs. The destructive and antigenous effect of acari on skin was determined. Studied were dynamic changes of morphological, immunological blood indices and the biochemical structure of blood serum in kittens, spontaneously invaded by otodectesses, in the course of the disease. The comparative estimation of different laboratory methods in studying scrapes was presented. The new method of diagnosing Otodectosis using the 3% peroxide was offered. The comparative efficiency of such preparations, as ophthalmic gel, amitrasine-plus and aversectine unguentum at treating cats was studied. The terms of acari's life activity outside the host's organism were determined. On the basis of the obtained results the recommendations were developed on the measures of the given disease treatment.
