Object of research is the process of the aviation industry state support in the state target programs. The purpose of work are generalisation and development of theoretikal and methodical approaches, working out of practical recommen-dations o improvement of the mechanism of the aviation industry development support in the state target programs. Re-search methods are the system approach; method of the hierarchy; analysis logic analysis; analysis and synthesis; system, structural and comparative analysis; the program and target approach; taxonomical analysis; graphic method. Theoreti-cal and practical results. the methodical approach to improvement of the mechanism of support of development of the aviation industry, generated by a combination of principles of the current legislation in sphere of target programming and a method of the analysis of hierarchy; The methodical approach to formation of the mechanism of the aviation industry development state support by use of financial management methods; methodical maintenance of thr aircrafts competi-tiveness estimation on the marketing concept basis which considers interests of consumers, operators and subjects of an infrastructure are got further development. Definition of civil aviation technics competitiveness concept which considers requirements of consumers, operators and subjects of an infrastructure; theoretikal and methodical maintenance of or-ganizational changes in aviation complex structure which can transform from concern to the holding company or consor-tium are improved. Scientific results are used by preparation "Strategy of social and economic development of the Kharkov region for the period till 2015" (certificate No 338/5 from 11/4/2008). The dissertation recommendations are found practical application in Central Department for Foreign Economic Relations and European Integration of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (certificate No 01-16/419 from 5/14/2009) and Central Department of the Iindus-try, Transport and Communication of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (certificate No 02-01-04/348 from 2/22/2010).
