Essay

The current dissertation work is devoted to the develop-ment of the adaptive method aimed to improve speech intelligibility in digital hearing aids that takes into account individual peculiarities of hearing losses of the patients with sensorineural hearing loss. The review of the existing methods of improving speech intelligibility used for de-signing digital hearing aids is provided. The mathematical model of cochlea that takes into account the specifics of the sensorineural hearing loss pathology is improved by means of the construction of the complex cochlea model on the basis of the audiometric examination data. The chart of the noise-cancelling process is improved on the basis of the spectral deduction method. On the basis of the investigation the method for improvement of speech intelligibility in digital hearing aids is developed. The basic medical-technical requirements for hearing aids design are developed.
