Thesis is dedicated to the research and grounding of theoretical basis of obligation suspension due to the impossibility of its satisfaction according to Civil Law of Ukraine. Common provisions of obligation suspension in Civil Law as well as issues of obligation suspension reasons formation in Roman Law along with concepts and grounds of obligation suspension in Civil Law of Ukraine were analyzed. Much prominence was given to the contemporary conception of obligation suspension due to the impossibility of its satisfaction, especially to the analysis of study of obligation suspension due to the impossibility of its satisfaction in foreign countries as well as conception of obligation suspension due to the impossibility of its satisfaction in Civil Law of Ukraine. Specific cases peculiarities of obligation suspension due to the impossibility of its satisfaction such as force majeure or incident were analyzed and the proposals to the current legislation amendment were stated."
