Essay

The challenge is to create a native codec for use in the compression of graphic information to store their space photos in the database. To this purpose, developed a spline multiresolution decomposition, to build which a multiresolution analysis considered in the context of wavelet transforms, used the pyramidal representation on the basis of procedure P. Burt and E. Adelson, and spline approximation of the signal. A new method and algorithm image data compression based on the proposed spline multiresolution decomposition with adaptive calculating the detailing coefficients.
