The dissertation is devoted to theoretical-experimental research on the issue of artistic-imaginative thinking formation of prospective music teachers. The phenomenon of artistic-imaginative thinking is considered; main points and the structure of artistic-imaginative thinking of a prospective music teacher are determined and proved. The developed methodology of diagnostics made possible to determine criteria and level indices of artistic- imaginative thinking formation of a prospective music teacher.
