Essay

The system to prognosticate the MDS course including clinic-hematological and karyotype changes was proposed. Considering bone marrow blasts and peripheral blood plateles quantity, also karyotypic anomalities, the stage of MDS establishment and its prognosis were identify. The most frequent karyotypic anomalities are changes of chromosome 5, 8, 7 and 20. The characteristic cytogenetic changes in AML patients are appearance of translocations involving an entire chromosome and presence of unidentified chromosomes.
