TThis dissertation specifically deals with analyzing from a political-scientific point of view the conceptual nucleus of the strategic partnership between Northern African countries within the context of European integration. The paper is based on theoretical and methodological research of the given scientific problem, general opinions of the foreign and domestic representatives of the political scientists' society and factual database, comprised of documentation provided by regional organizations and national institutions.The scientific paper systematically examines the genesis and perspectives of integration processes in Northern Africa, analyzes the integration-oriented strategies of Maghrib sub-region countries within the framework of intergovernmental organizations, namely, European Union, Arab Maghrib Union, League of Arab States, Organization of African Nations, the paper presents Maghrib as an autonomous sub regional sub-system within the network of inter-Arab relations; the EU's policy bearing upon Maghrib countries is analyzed; a thoroughly well-founded bottom-line explains why the interdependence of two regions - Europe and Maghrib - preserves the hallmarks of asymmetrical mutual dependence; different scenarios of EU's influence on developmental tendencies in Northern Africa are getting meticulously broken down and examined. Analyzing the experience of cooperation between Northern African countries within the framework of AMU-EU relations and relations with other individual member-countries of integrated body of states helps to designate the prioritized spheres of developing relations between Ukraine and Northern African countries as well as Ukrainian state's outlook for promoting national interests in Afro-Arab world
