Varyvoda Y. «Constructive and geographical basis of the management of the natural protected areas and objects fund in the boards of administrative regions»

The object of study: natural protected areas and objects fund (NPAOF) of Zmiyvskiy, Balakliyskiy and Izumskiy regions of Kharkivska oblast. The aim of study: consideration of scientific background of the management approaches of NPAOF. The employed methods: mathematical, analytical, score assessment, landscape-ecological, geo-information mapping. The innovation aspects: the methodological approaches of strategic environmental assessment (SEA) have applied for the management of NPAOF; the landscape framework of the net of natural protected areas and objects fund has elaborated; the directions for the adaptation of SEA to the existing system of environmental assessment have suggested; the constructive and geographical basis of SEA has developed; targeted environmental protection measures has elaborated for the management of NPAOF. The theoretical component of the study is considered to provide a sound scientific basis for the further development of methodological framework of SEA, whereas its practical outputs are the identified directions for the improvement of the management system of natural protected areas and objects. The implementation status: the methodological results have included to the national strategy for the introduction of SEA and realization of SEA Protocol requirements. The results on the designing of the net of NPAOF has become part of the project on regional econet development “The elaboration of the project of Pridonetskiy natural region of the national status”.
