Subject - process of training of general designers in engineering disciplines in specialized institution of post-graduate education (Academy of general designers); purpose - to ground theoretically, work out and check experimentally the effectiveness of the main theses of the fully optimized innovative methodical system of training of general designers in engineering disciplines during post-graduate training; methods -analysis, prediction, modelling, planning, expert appraisal, pedagogical trial, theory of matrices, theory of graphs; novelty - the following is theoretically substantiated and worked out for the first time: the concept of training of general designers in engineering disciplines, the structure of innovative methodical system of training of general designers in engineering disciplines, the fundamental content of complex of subjects "technical knowledge"; the result - the methodical system of training of general designers in engineering disciplines during post-graduate training is worked out, experimentally checked and implemented; the methodical system is implemented in the Academy of general designers.
