Essay

The author has elucidated the results of the apple clonal rootstock (Ukrainian breeding) complex assessment in parental garden, nursery and young in the North-Eastern Lisosteppe of Ukraine. The economic and biological peculiarities, competitiveness and suitability of new clonal rootstocks for the introduction into commercial culture of have been studied, including new ones of the Sumy Experimental Station of Horticulture, for the above mentioned zone. High intensive frost- and drought- resistant rootstocks of various vigour for production testing were selected.
