The research is devoted to the studying of the psychological peculiarities of coping by students with difficult life situations and working out the psycho-pedagogical model of assisting the development of effective ways of coping by technical high school students. The system of psycho-pedagogical measures aimed at the students' personalities development in the direction of widening their possibilities in realization of active coping strategies is worked out. The effectiveness of this system is proved and tested.
