Essay

Complex technology of environmentally dangerous liquid coke-chemical wastes deactivation is developed and fulfilled. Neutralization and biological treatment features of such pond manufacturing water are studied. The efficiency of neutralization application as the first deactivation stage to reduce extremely high concentrations of ammonia, phenols, pyridine and salt content in a pond and on the nearby territory and biological treatment as the second stage to eliminate ammonia is proved. Dynamics of the main pollutants concentrations and reaction products thickening depending on pH variation is explored. There was revealed Anammox-process in treatment plants' activated sludge for the first time in Ukraine. There were determined optimal technological conditions of Anammox-process for liquid toxic wastes and proved Anammox-process efficiency for ammonia elimination from coke-chemical ponds. It is shown that textures fibrous carrier VIYA intensifies Anammox-process. Ammonia biological water treatment scheme is developed. Its work is based on water division into two streams including their preliminary processing in aerobic and anaerobic bioreactors.
