Essay

In the work radioactive substances releases impacts on the environment during the Shelter transformation into an ecologically safe system are being analyzed. For that purpose, sources of releases during the work are determined and analyzed, tech-nique for estimation of the releases impact on the personnel and environment are de-veloped. On the basis of developed integrated methodology, releases during the Shelter stabilization were quantitatively determined. Integrated impacts of releases due to technogenic activities in the Exclusion Zone also were estimated. It is shown, that the releases impacts during the Shelter transformation are beyond the limits determined by Ukraine's laws. Analysis of the impacts to all components of the environment has shown that additional amount of deposited radioactive substances (in case of non-accidental conditions of work) are equal to parts of percent of existed contamination due to the accident of 1986.
