Tarasenko K. Constitutional and legal status of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to the constitutional and legal status of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The origin and development of ideas of national defense and security in Ukraine and abroad, genesis of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine are investigated. The composition, structure and procedure of formation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine are analyzed; the scientifically substantiated proposals for improving the organizational and functional structure are developed; and on the basis of this, it is proposed the legislation to amend in the points of the forming order and composition. The elements and principles of the constitutional and legal status, competence, forms and methods of operation, the responsibility of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine are explored.
