The thesis is devoted to the synthesis of new functional benzothiazine derivatives, their chemical properties investigation and the determination of their structures. New 4-chlorobenzo[c][2,1]thiazine-3-carbaldehydes are synthesized. The reactivity of novel compounds is shown to be diverse, these compounds could be applied in organic synthesis. The regularities in chemical behavior of beta-chloroaldehydes are found and explained towards following binucleophilic agents: glycoles, thioglycolates, hydriazines, amidines, aminoazaheterocycles, hetarylacetonitriles. A number of novel 1,2-benzothiazine hydroxymethyleneketone derivatives are obtained, these compounds are shown to be highly reactive. New synthetic route to N-alkyl-1,2-benzothiazine-4-one-S,S-dioxides is developed. Novel 1,4-benzothiazin-3-on-2-carbaldehydes are synthesized, their reactivity is investigated. The derivatives of 10 new heterocyclic systems are obtained and described. Major regularities in the reactivity of 2,1-, 1,2- and 1,4-benzothiazine derivatives are determined. Similarities and differences in alpha-ketomethylene group electrophilic C-functionalization reactions behavior are analyzed
