Musiichuk V. Paremiological units of modern Vietnamese language: onomasiological and lingual-cultural aspects

The thesis is devoted to the researching of paremiological units of modern Vietnamese language. The problem of modeling paremias for their content by onomasiological approach and selection of lingual-cultural concepts is considered. An overview of Vietnamese paremiological and paremoigraphical investigations from XIX century till now is presented in the thesis. Also a detailed analysis of know classification types of paremiological units in Vietnamese, Ukrainian and other European and Oriental languages is conducted. Based on this analysis, the main types of Vietnamese paremias are identified, and the terminology equivalents for types of the paremiological units in Vietnamese and Ukrainian languages are proposed. The principles of conceptual-onomasiological modeling of paremias have been elaborating. By example of vietnamese paremias, expressing the concept “labour”, the internal structure of the concept has been studying using a frame analysis. The description, axiological and metaphorical components of lingual-cultural concept “labor” have been investigating in selected paremiological frames. The practical side of thesis’ research is realized in a model building of bilingual ideographical dictionary of paremias based on the frame structure. According to the suggested model, a Vietnamese-Ukrainian dictionary is compiled by example of Vietnamese paremiological units which represent the concept “labor”.
