Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of heterogeneous catalysts of denitrification of water based on layered double hydroxides (LDH), synthetic smektites and titania. The new approach to metal deposition on titania surface under visible light radiation was described. Usage of Zn-containing LDH and synthetic smektites for catalytic denitrification is proposed. The main regularities of the formation of structure and active site of LDH and smektite-like compounds were established. The possible mechanism of reaction was offered. Recommendation concerning of using novel catalysts are given.
