Essay

The subject of investigation is a process of transporting wood by wheeled timber machines with a swivel frame. The aim of this work is to make the regularity of the wheeled timber machine parameters influencing on their controllability and stability and to develop of the recommendations directed on the increasing of level of their operating perfection. There are some methods of investigation: classic mechanics, a theory of motion of the wheeled machines, the mathematical modeling, mathematical experiment design and mathematical statistics. Novelty: at first the generalized mathematical models of curvilinear motion of the typical wheeled timber machines with the swivel frame have been elaborated; the middling parameters macroprofile and a plan of mountainous forest roads have been determined; at first the regularity of the wheeled timber machine parameters influencing on their controllability and stability have been conformed. As a result it is received the regression dependences of the effect of the wheeled timber machine structural parameters and performance factors on their controllability and stability; substantiated rational structural parameters of the wheeled timber machine. The level of introduction: the developed positions and practice recommendations were utilized for designing of industrial prototype of the wheeled skidder. Area of use - timber harvesting, for the timber transport and also - in scientific researches and educational process.
