Essay

Object: the processes of forest administration and forest management in Ukraine. Goal: to substantiate principles and methods of forming the effective system of forest administration and forest management in Ukraine. Methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, abstraction, induction, deduction, systematization, classification, correlation and regression analysis, functional modeling. Novelty: for the first time - the alternative models of forestry and forest management system in Ukraine are developed; the principles of forest administration in Ukraine are improved; the methodological approaches to the evaluation of the alternative models of forestry and forest management system in Ukraine are improved; further developed - systematization of foreign experience; principal approaches to the analysis of the efficiency of responsibilities distribution between subjects of forestry and forest management system in Ukraine; methodological approaches to modeling the system of forest administration; methodological approaches to forming the models of optimization of forest guard staff. Theoretical and practical results: application of the developed alternative model of forestry and forest management system in Ukraine will enhance the efficiency of the state forest administration. Level of application: the research results are used in Lviv forest and hunting administration for the improvement of forest management. Theoretical results are used in teaching academic courses "Fundamentals of Management Consulting" and "Forest Policy". Field of application: forest economics.
