Essay

The thesis is devoted to analysis of equations of motion and equilibrium of holonomic mechanical systems of perfectly rigid bodies with different number of frictional contacts, where dry friction obeys Coulomb law, and to the wedging phenomenon, that is the reason of some cases of singularity of these equations. The series of conditions when the wedging ability occurs for a system are derived.
