Dissertation is dedicated to the problems of Olympic education of basic school pupils in the secondary educational institutions of Ukraine. Designated role and meaning of Olympic education in the process of physical culture education of pupils; found out teenagers associations on Olympics; found out the knowledge of 12-year old pupils about Olympic movement and their attitude to physical exercises. In the research, there are forms of Olympic education that are grounded and proposed for the pupils of average school age.
