Thesis search is devoted to actual psychological and pedagogical problem to form communicative abilities of mentally retarded senior school students during the learning process of Adjective grammar theme by method to use different lexical, stylistic, lexical and grammar, grammar and stylistic exercises. A complex of psychological and pedagogical and methodical grounds was worked out to form communicative abilities of mentally retarded students as index of students' psychological development, their personality formation, interpersonal attitudes optimization and successful socialization in socium.
