Pryadko L. Preparation of future correctional teacher to work with mentally backward children in a rehabilitation center

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of professional readiness of future correctional teachers to work with mentally backward children in a rehabilitation center. The readiness of future correctional teachers to work with mentally backward children in a rehabilitation center is given as invariable personal skills that embrace the complex of personal qualities and professional knowledge and abilities. The importance for effective correctional activity and personal creative potential realization is proved. The components, criteria and data of professional readiness are given. The levels of forming the readiness of future correctional teachers to work with mentally backward children in a rehabilitation center are clarified. The methodology is based on the improvement of tasks of educational subjects and pedagogical practice in a rehabilitation center; introduction the course "The basics of correctional-rehabilitation work in a rehabilitation center". The effectiveness of given method is proved experimentally.
