Dissertation work is dedicated to a profound study of gender models of character creating in literary heritage of Marco Vovchok and Ganna Barvinok.The given study was centered on analyses of their prose using gender, feministic approaches and poetics of character depiction and building. Small prose of both Marco Vovchok and Ganna Barvinok is presented as a part of Ukrainian and European literary traditions.
