Osyka K. Psychological peculiarities of motivation of the young karatists' sporting achievements

The thesis deals with the problem of motivation of the young karatists' sporting achievements. The essence and characteristic peculiarities of the motivation of achievements are revealed in the paper, the models and structure of motivation are discovered, and different approaches to the investigation of the motivation of the young athletes' sporting achievements are analyzed. Revealed are the main categories related to the motivation of achievement and self-actualization of sportsmen characteristic of the sporting activities of the representatives of the kyokushinkai karate style. The connections between the motivation of achievements, the level of sporting qualification and the successful participation of karatists in the important competitions are defined. The system of psychological techniques is worked out that contribute to the development of the motivation for sporting achievements in young men apt for sports. The author proposes the programme for optimizing the motivation of the karatists' sporting achievements that enables to form the motivation for achieving success, self-representation and self-attitude, the habits of self-analysis, of emotional and behavioral self-regulation, and to accelerate the development of abilities for self-cognition and self-perfection.
