The dissertation is aimed at the study and scientific substantiation of treatment of patients having hyperactive urinary bladder (HAUB) through determination of the detrusor tonus and the development of a method of detrusor electric stimulation by means of new frequency amplitude characteristics. Based on the study of the lower urinary tracts through urodynamic and elctromyographic methods of investigation in the HAUB patients, two states of detrusor tonus - hypo- and hyperkinetic - were identified The research was based on the results of complex examination and treatment of 421 patients having HAUB: 201 patients with hyperkinetic tonus of detrusor and 220 patients with hypokinetic tonus of detrusor. Depending on that, different methods of electrostimulative treatment were assigned. The patients with hypokinetic detrusor tonus received the stimulating method of electric stimulation, and in cases of hyperkinetic detrusor tonus was developed the inhibiting method of electric stimulation with new frequency amplitude characteristics. In the absence of contraindications to use medicamental treatment the patients received complex electric stimulation and preparations of M-cholinolytic action.Тhere has been defined and scientifically substantiated the administration of stimulating methods for the patients with hypokinetic detrusor tonus, worked out a new frequency amplitude characteristics of the inhibiting methods to treat the patients with hyperkinetic detrusor tonus.It has been shown that the efficiency in treatment of the HAUB patients depends on determination of the tonus of detrusor and method of treatment. With that, the most effective is the complex application of electric stimulation and M-cholinolytics.
