Theoretical and practical experience in designing, building and upkeep of rural schools is investigated in this thesis inquiry. The state of the art and development trends in the system of school infrastructure in countryside is examined. Basic facts having impact on formation of the ungraded rural schools are revealed. Design concepts of the educational institutions network in countryside based on territorial educational districts are defined. Nomenclature of types of the ungraded rural school buildings is developed and their classification is offered.
