The thesis contains the results of theoretical and experimental study of developing language professional competence of future economic specialists. The main tendencies in developing the content of language training for non-philological specialities students and approaches to realization of the tasks of professional oriented language teaching have been revealed. The stages of developing linguistic competence, language competence and communicative competence of economic specialties students in higher education institutions have been determined. The teaching and methodical system of developing language professional competence of future economic specialists has been elaborated and experimentally verified.
