Taran A. Competion of nominations in the Modern Ukrainian literary language: tendencies of stabilisation of new lexicon

Object: basic and derivative new nominations-competitors. Objective: complex analysis of formal-semantic structure, types and functional potential of nominations-competitors. Methods: the morphemic and word-formation analysis; the componental analysis of semantics of words; linguistic modelling and forecasting; definitive method; quantitative calculations; Scientific novelty: for the first time the typology of competitive groups is created, formal-semantic structure and functional potential of competitive nouns and adjectives is investigated, tendencies of their stabilization in Modern Ukrainian literary language are determined, practical recommendations concerning standardization and codification of new competitive nominations are worked up. The practical value: possibility of usage in the courses of Modern Ukrainian literary language, general linguistics, lexicography; language material will serve for compiling and replenishment of word-lists for new Ukrainian dictionaries and creation of new grammars and textbooks of the Ukrainian language.
