The thesis is devoted to improvement of issues of patients with iodine deficiency nodular colloidal goiter surgical treatment by choosing an adequate volume of surgical interventions and postoperative treatment in agreement with the stage of pathomorphological and functional changes in the parenchyma of thyroid gland for prevention of goiter recurrences. Our results have been reflected complex care and treatment of 189 patients with iodine deficiency nodular colloidal goiter. The main group - 160 patients. Control group - 29 patients. The main problem which decided during the study was to determine the stage of iodine pathomorphological changes in the gland parenchyma against nodular colloidal goiter. The stages of compensation, subcompensation and decompensation were defined. The possibility to determine the stage of pathomorphological changes in the out-side nodal parenchyma by right of the results of cytological studies was adjusted. The criteria of adequate surgical interventions volume and postoperative care were selected with take into account of stage of pathomorphological changes in the thyroid gland parenchyma and intrathyroid iodine level for prevention of postoperative recurrence of nodular colloidal goiter.
