Essay

The dissertation focuses on identifying reasons for electoral support for new radical right-wing parties in contemporary European countries. An explanatory model was developed to allow interpretation of reasons for elec-toral support for this type of parties. Central source of such a support is protest atti-tudes, social reactions to migratory processes and ethnic polarisation, fears of social isolation, loss of social positions and collapse of economic security. Electoral support for far-right parties is conditioned by their legitimacy, organisational efficiency being an important prerequisite for parties' long-term activity and development.
