Hrabovyy P. Cognitive parameters of Ukrainian youth slang.

The paper provides a complex research of Ukrainian youth slang as a linguistic and cultural phenomenon. The subject of the research is mechanisms of world picture verbalization by means of Ukrainian youth slang. The place of con-temporary youth slang among other non-standard subsystems of the Ukrainian language is defined. Contemporary lan-guage world picture theories were analyzed from the point of their slang study usage. Socio-cultural influence on the Ukrainian youth’s worldview and its verbalization by means on nonstandard language elements was studied in the pa-per. Classification of the main youth concepts expressed by Ukrainian youth slang was conducted. The research de-scribes the most significant segments of the world picture, expressed by lexical and phraseological elements of Ukrain-ian youth slang. The analysis of dynamics during the end of the XX the beginning of the XXI centuries of the develop-ment and change of the concepts, verbalized by means of contemporary Ukrainian youth slang, was carried out. Dic-tionary of Ukrainian youth slang of Uman is presented.
