The object is poetic language of L.V.Kostenco,V.A. Simonenko, D.V.Puvlichko. The aim is to establish the regularity and typology of semantic transformations of words in literature-artistic speech and their role in poetic discourse of L.V.Kostenco, D.V.Puvlichko, V.A. Simonenko. The methods are semantic-stylistic, analytical description, comparable analysis, component analysis, contextual analysis, statistical. Given the dynamic transformation process of the semantic word structure, the have been determined the gnoseological, aesthetic and linguistic identifiers to detect different types of semantic shifts in view with the fact that the semantic variation of words within the poetic discourse is interrelated with the potential semantic capacity realization of the linguistic unit and the modifications of their semantic structure. It is also motivated by word aesthetics, a scientific branch dealing with a beauty concept, that studies the regularities of language functioning in literary works of fiction, writer's lexicography and also determines semantic transformation regularities of words and other linguistic units. The study contributes to accomplishing the methods and approach for writers individual style description and also gives way to further transformations of national language units within the individual authors style into one of the interaction forms between the individual authors language and the literary one. There heve been singled out the following types of semantic transformations: implicit sense increment, contextual synonymy, expressive connotation formation (dealing with depoetisation), joining the semantically diversified units. Application spheres are semasiology, lexicography, training courses.
